PCV’s small business loan fundĀ is just one of the ways PCV invests in local economies and we are definitely not alone in this mission. This month, we would like to highlight three organizations in Contra Costa County with innovative approaches to stimulate entrepreneurship, create jobs, and strengthen the community:
- The Business Development Center in Richmond offers training and technical assistance to small businesses through Contra Costa CAN and rents kitchen space to budding Bay Area food entrepreneurs through Kitchen@812.
- The Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership in Concord has two core programs for entrepreneurs through John F. Kennedy University – a six month Advanced Ventures Certificate Program and the Resident Entrepreneur Program where business owners can receive mentoring and low cost office space.
- Made in Contra Costa is an initiative spearheaded by the Contra Costa SBDC that connects manufacturers with resources on how to secure capital, get certified for government contracts and learn how to expand into the overseas market.
PCV looks forward to deepening our relationships with these organizations and expanding access to capital throughout Contra Costa County! If you know of a company that could benefit from working with one of these organizations and/or PCV, please let us know.
