Forget about takeout salads and sandwiches. Get ready for an empowering luncheon on creating quality jobs for the people who need them most. On Monday, May 4 John C. Williams — President of the San Francisco Federal Reserve — will join Pacific Community Ventures to celebrate job creation, small business, and investing for social impact at our 2015 Annual Luncheon.
We want to enable small businesses to grow and invest in quality jobs. With support from community economic development leaders such as yourselves, PCV is working to help meet the needs of lower-income workers today by empowering small businesses and driving more capital toward underserved communities.
Employees of small businesses need their paychecks. Lower-income communities need their tax dollars. And small business owners need support and guidance in order to generate this kind of positive economic impact.
Show your support and get your tickets today! Last year’s luncheon sold out, so be sure to get yours as soon as possible.
How PCV Is Building Local Economies
PCV’s programs uniquely address the needs of lower-income communities by creating essential support networks for small business in the 21st Century:
- Our research and policy work directs private capital to small businesses which in turn support the underserved communities they operate in; our advising services enable those businesses to overcome the challenges they’re currently facing alone, and to grow and succeed;
- When these small businesses are successful, they’re ready for additional investment, including loan capital from our lending program; that growth creates jobs and stimulates local economies;
- This ecosystem of support demonstrates PCV’s theory of change with the purpose of drawing more investment to small businesses and their communities that are most underserved.
We all know the growing need of the individual and of the community, and we have both a moral and an economic imperative to fuel social and economic mobility in this country. We offer you a 21st Century solution to a 21st Century problem.
