Triple BK is a family-run San Francisco landscaping company that has mastered the city’s micro-climates and the plants that perform best within them. They’ve been a loan fund client of ours for a couple of years, and we checked in with their advisor David Taylor about how the company is growing.

It’s no secret that the San Francisco economy is booming, and that’s driving a strong residential real estate market. As a landscaping company, more money and more investment in real estate is helping Triple BK to thrive. In addition, the company continues to benefit from a steady stream of new referrals from another PCV client — Flora Grubb Gardens. PCV introduced the two companies to each other last year, and Triple BK currently has several significant projects in its pipeline that were referred by Flora Grubb.

When Triple BK first came to PCV, they were dealing with damage leftover from the Great Recession. Now, the company’s 2015 revenues are up 27% and net income is up 48% compared to 2014. That’s even more impressive when you compare it to 2013: total revenues were up 69% and net income was up 67%. PCV’s debt consolidation loan has enabled it to reduce its financing costs by thousands of dollars each year.
The company has also grown to a total of 11 jobs. The owners, Bruno and Ben, are hard-working and really driven to succeed. They’re intensely focused on achieving success for themselves and their employees, and continue to cultivate relationships with sources of referrals, including realtors and Flora Grubb Gardens.
