This week’s spotlight feature goes to Albert Tung. Albert is a Manager, Transaction Advisory Services at EY — and first time mentor with Pacific Community Ventures! We paired Albert with Marcia Lopez, the owner of True Healing Bodywork, a natural remedies healing business. Albert’s skills in financial analysis and accounting made him a great fit to mentor Marcia on her overall financial strategy.
This was Marcia’s first time entering a mentorship as well, so neither parties knew what to expect heading into their first phone call together. After getting to know each other and building rapport, Marcia opened up about her business challenges. Immediately, Albert saw where he could utilize his skills to provide value: He assessed the company’s financial performance, which led to a discussion about Marcia’s pricing strategy and cash flow. Albert served as a sounding board and thought partner to establish a pricing structure that reflected the quality of work that Marcia was providing, which instantly increased their revenue
Since being paired with Albert, Marcia has taken great strides in her business. Marcia entered the partnership as a one person business and now has multiple practitioners under her. Albert stated, “I’ve seen tremendous development in her business in a short amount of time and I’m glad to be a part of the process.” Now, Marcia has an increased belief in herself and has the confidence to succeed. She has seen the fruits of her labor and is now looking to expand her business.
Albert, thank you for being a constant source of support and guidance for Marcia!
