Fink Automotive Air Conditioning evacuates and recharges air conditioning refrigerant from automobiles involved in frontal impact accidents. Fink Automotive Air Conditioning was founded by Loren Fink nearly 40 years ago. Over that time Loren grew his business to over 80 auto body shops throughout and beyond the Bay Area. As he looks toward retirement, Loren is starting to transition his network of repair shops to new owners, which is how Pacific Community Ventures met Mario Aguilar.
Mario is buying Fink Automotive and Air Conditioning. He has 15 years of experience in the body shop business and is very familiar with automobile AC repair.
Fink Automotive runs on a mobile model, which involves one of their technicians driving out to an autobody shop and evacuating the refrigerant from a damaged vehicle, and then returning to recharge the refrigerant once repairs are finished. The process takes approximately 15 minutes to complete from start to finish, and it’s a service that many shops across the state need. The only fixed cost of the business is the truck that is used to go from shop to shop, beyond that the refrigerant is a variable cost depending on the amount of jobs done in a period.
Mario is also excited to learn from Loren himself, who will stay on to help transition the business and introduce Mario to the existing customers. We’re excited to work with him to help her create good jobs!
