Luisa Sotelo

Luisa is PCV Director of Finance & Operations managing the organization’s financial and accounting operations. Luisa has 11+ years of experience in managing finance and accounting operations. Luisa began her career with an international nonprofit startup, Aylum Access,  serving the refugee community in many parts of the world.  At Asylum Access, she built the finance and accounting infrastructure of the organization. During the organization’s rapid growth period, from 2020 to 2022, Luisa made transformative changes to manage compliance with tax regulations and grant agreements as the organization generated the most revenue in its history, $15,000,000, in a single fiscal year.

Luisa also works as an independent consultant for nonprofit startups looking to build their finance and accounting infrastructure to allow their leadership focus on building social impact. She is a mentor in The Lam Family College of Business of San Francisco State University mentorship program that equips students through one-to-one mentoring for career success after graduating from college. 

Luisa graduated Cum Laude from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Corporate Finance. She also earned a certificate in Fashion Design from Parsons New School of Design.
