The Maui Cookie Lady creates distinctive, gourmet giant cookies featuring the tropical flavors of Hawaii. Started as a fundraiser at a Maui farmers market, the cookies have been featured in Magazine, Rachel Ray, Good Moring America, Food Networks Mag, Entrepreneur Magazine and made the FORBES 2021 Holiday Gift Guide. The Maui Cookie Lady ‘s traces her origins to a labor of love-as a fundraiser for the ICU nurses, who cared for her terminally ill father. A long time cookie enthusiast and school teacher, founder Mitzi Toro, baked the sweet artisan treats as a way to say mahalo “thank you” for the nurses and once the campaign was over, she continued. The delicious colossal cookies became an instant hit and have had shout outs by celebrities Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson, Ludacris, Bruno Mars, David Spade amoung some of the famous customers. She turned in her teacher’s hat for a baker’s cap. This is truly the American Dream of a schoolteacher turned Cookie-prenuer.
