Sanjay Datta

Sanjay brings almost 20 years of experience in finance and management, currently serving as CFO of Upstart Network Inc, a lending platform which leverages data science and machine learning to improve the credit pricing and underwriting process. Prior to Upstart, Sanjay was VP of Global Advertising & Sales Finance at Google Inc. where he lead all planning and financial analytics teams working on the advertising business, covering around 90% of total company revenue. Before his career at Google, he spent time with private investment group Artisan Capital, working to source small- to mid-cap equity investment opportunities in manufacturing and services, and before that began his career with Deloitte Consulting specializing in financial valuation while living in Montreal and Madrid.

Sanjay has a degree in economics from McGill University in Montreal and a masters in business administration from Stanford University, as well as a yet-unfinished masters degree in music technology. He currently lives in Los Altos with his wife and two children, where he is house chef and chief lullaby officer.
