William B. Pace
Managing Partner, Clearly Next, and Chair Emeritus, Pacific Community Ventures
Bill is Managing Partner at Clearly Next, and a Senior Fellow at Civic Ventures, a nonprofit think tank focused on enabling baby boomers to shift to new careers in social purpose work. Previously, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Kurt Salmon Associates (KSA), an international, multidisciplinary management consulting firm focused on the consumer and healthcare industries.
Bill joined PCV’s board in 2009, and served as Chairman until 2015, during which time team he was awarded the Irvine Foundation California Leadership Award. Bill is continuing his service to PCV by joining our Advisory Council from 2017 forward.
Prior to KSA, he co-founded and led Swander Pace & Company, a leading strategy consulting firm and was a founding partner of Swander Pace Capital, a private equity investment company with over $1 billion under management. Prior to Swander Pace & Company, Bill was a partner at Edgar Dunn & Company, a management consulting firm in San Francisco, and a consultant with Boston Consulting Group in Australia. His previous experience also includes serving as an elementary school teacher and as an assistant dean of students.
In addition to PCV, Bill has been involved with numerous education and community service organizations, most recently as a member of the Yale School of Management board of advisors, founding chair of the advisory board for the Yale Center for Customer Insights, and a member of the advisory board of Aspire Public Schools.
Bill earned a Bachelor of Arts from Claremont McKenna College, a Master of Arts in Education from Claremont University Center, and a Master of Business Administration from the Yale School of Management.
